I am a coach for parents of transgender and non-conforming kids and a photographer.
• I grew up first on Long Island, NY and then in Boston, MA.
• I went to Boston College and post-grad at Northeastern University. I have degrees in Education and a certificate in American Sign Language-English interpreting. While I am not a "teacher" by profession, I do enjoy educating people on what I know... about photography, equipment, posing, lighting and how to take a great photo. I also love ASL and would love to use this amazing language on a more regular basis.
• I have three teenagers.
• I now live in Gwinnett County in Georgia which is 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. I'm not a fan of the suburbs but it's 'aight.
• I am a LGBTQI ally.
I love what I do and I'm grateful every day for everything and everyone in my life that have made me who I am today.
As well as being a coach of parents with transgender or gender non-conforming children, I am part of a national database called Ally Parents. We take calls and texts from youth who are struggling with acceptance in their own families and/or communities. I provide unconditional support, guidance and resources to parents who are stepping into their new role as the parent of a transgender or gender non-conforming child. I am a member of the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, PFLAG, Gwinnett Chamber, Professional Photographers Association and I am on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
