Atlanta Photographer: Hey Forbes... Well done!

Forbes is putting together an “Inclusive Capitalism” issue called:

“In partnership with Mika Brzezinski and her “Know Your Value” initiative, we are committed to shining a light on 50 diverse women over the age of 50 who have achieved significant success later in life, often by overcoming formidable odds or barriers.”

Amazing! I cannot wait to see who they feature in this issue. They are taking nominations for women that may not be on their radar so spread the word!

[Just a few of my lovely 50 over 50 participants!]

While not all the women involved in my 50 Over 50 project are entrepreneurs (though all trailblazers in their own way), they are all women who have infinite wisdom, strength and beauty that shines with the confidence that comes with the experiences that could break a weaker person!

This announcement (see VIDEO HERE) highlights exactly why I love featuring my “50 Over 50” photo project. Randall Lane, the Chief Content Officer for Forbes said it best:

Again, if we’re going to unlock the full power of capitalism and entrepreneurship this is a demographic that is underlapped, that has unbelievable experience, potential and is not fully reaching. And what we’re going to do is hopefully amplify that.

… taking a demographic that has more wisdom and knowledge than any other but has not always gotten a fair seat at the table.

…Anyone can be an entrepreneur. You don’t have to wait for somebody else…..

…Now these women have the tools, even if they were a stay-at-home mom and were out of the workforce, to be their own boss. To create their own fortunes, to forge ahead themselves.

I’m so grateful to have begun this project and welcome all women 50 and over to “Know Your Value”. I think once we reach our 50s, 60s and beyond, we truly begin to fully grasp our value in the world and THAT is what I want you to celebrate! Every day.

If you’re interested in participating or know an amazing woman over 50 who you think would be perfect, now’s the time!
